Hi new here so not sure if I’m the right place . I have a 1 year old 20kg labradoodle male that was diagnosed with meningitis at 6 months old he will be on steroids and cyclosporine for another 5 months . The side effects have been terrible but we are getting there. He had total muscle wastage now coming back. His skin and coat are dry and balding he has a ferocious appetite and drinks a lot. As we are half way through treatment I am now looking at changing his puppy food that breeder fed him as his tummy is more settled now. He is on Lifestage kibble.i don’t want to go down the raw route as vet does not recommend as yet and am looking for the best cupboard food that will have most of what he needs to get fighting fit. I supplement him with pro fibre, salmon oil, milk thistle, green lipid mussel powder and all natural worm and flea products as he can’t have any toxins . Happy to say that being 1 year old today he has started to play walk and had his first bark this week!
