Recommendations for Sensitive Stomach Dog Food?

Hi everyone,

I have a 3-year-old Labrador named Max who has been having some digestive issues. The vet suggested switching to a food for sensitive stomachs. I’m looking for recommendations on high-quality, easily digestible dog food. Any suggestions?

On hear there is brilliant advice many of which have the same isdues as your dog so the anseers will be simular , ie noval proteins allergy testing posibly , grain free food , or hydrogolised food if vet recommends, also probotics can sometimes help too.

Hi Steve,

I have a border collie that has the most sensitive stomach I’ve ever known, and he’s my 8th dog in my lifetime.
We tried everything probiotics, different food wet and dry until we were introduced to AVA sensitive skin and stomach white fish.
It was a game changer from day one of feeding him it, no more runny stools, no more wind, and no more red itchy skin.
I now have 3 dogs on it and would not look anywhere else or change them ever.

WE SOLELY FEED FISH AND VEG IN THERE DIETS NOW THATS INCLUDING ALL TREATS AND DENTAL STICKS IT MAKES SUCH A DIFFERENCE TO THERE EVERYDAY WELLBEING

Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll definitely try AVA sensitive skin and stomach white fish for my dog and switch to a fish and veg diet for treats too.

Bentleys ocean dog food is good and highly recommended on hear score rating its just been reviewed if you want to take a look , i am just trying it for my dog with fur loss and very itchy skin as vets test show hes not got pests of any kind causing it and blood work all good ,hair folical looked course which she feels is due to colour dilution through breeding as hes a blue daschund , any way giving it ago as any thing is worth a chance to reduce the medication hes on apoquel as i feel it has many side effects long term and he is getting ear infections since on this meds .
Glad ava dog food helps. I will look at that after a few months of trialing bently food , if there is no improvement , however food may never help his issues but may help with weight loss as hes a big on the porky side as hes crazy about food, bentley food may do the trick re weight as hes not over keen which is a bonus in one way .
