Hi I have a 2 yr old Lab with itchy ears the Vet has suggested we switch to Hills Prescription ZD food but this has a poor score on this website has anyone else food an alternative dry food who’s dogs have a similar problem that has worked ??
This is a common problem in Labradors and it might be genetic rather than specifically food related. However, a good quality diet can be helpful. Consider discontinuing dry food altogether (budget permitting). A raw or fresh cooked food diet might help. In the case of raw, go for a complete product. If you are able to provide home cooked food, first obtain some correctly balanced recipes and appropriate additives. There is information about this in the home cooking section of the forum.
