Hi,
I had the same problem with 2 of my dogs border collie and dogue-de-bordeaux.
Changed them to a fish only diet and they were fine after a few days no more itching scratching or biting at them self’s.
I use AVA sensitive skin and stomach white fish for border collie and Arden Grange sensitive ocean fish for my dogue-de-bordeaux.
I only give fish dog treats, vegetables and Whimzees dental stick as they are vegetable based.
Hope this helps
Royal canin dosnt say whats in the food its very ivasive i have read Abd hasnt got a very good rating on hear to be honest abd i fed my dog that he developed skin scurf and itching and advised to change the food which i did with my chihuahua. There are some brilliant foods in hear look at the ratings and hypoalagenic ones avoid chicken i have read too if possible or main triggers in dogs.
Allergies in pups can be such a hassle! My little guy, Frank the Pug, had some itching issues too around that age. I found that switching to a limited ingredient diet really helped him. There are brands that focus on fewer ingredients, which can be easier for sensitive stomachs and skin.Since your puppy is on Royal Canin, you might want to consider trying a different protein source or even a grain-free option. Sometimes, it just takes a bit of experimenting to find the right fit. Pugs Beauty has some great tips and a supportive community where you can share your experiences. Chatting with other pug owners can really help, and they might have suggestions based on what worked for their pups.
A limited ingredient diet and tracking meals might help identify triggers
