hi ive just been looking at butchers dog food new range and the ingredients look ok but it contains cassia gum as an additive. does anyone know if this is ok in dog foods?

hi thanks for the reply yes its a gelling agent and from what iv’e read i think it comes from the seeds of a type of plant (Senna obtusifolia). obviously it must be safe in dog foods but i was just wondering why i haven’t seen it in many other dogs. as for contacting butchers dog food i have emailed them last week but they haven’t replied so maybe i will give them a call at some
